Many schools have been using our service since early 2017; the consistency achieved through this ongoing support has been key to building progress, trust and constructive change.

We continue to work hard building positive and trusting relationships with both pupils and staff, offering a reliable support network for schools week in, week out.

During the Covid lockdown (March to July 2020) we carried out 1341 contact sessions by phone or video with young people and their families, continuing to support them in unprecedented times.

We work in partnership with schools to ensure that students’ needs are always met.

HOW SESSIONS WORK

Safeguarding in Schools

Advotalk workers always adhere to schools’ Child Protection Policies and Procedures.

Any safeguarding concerns discussed in the sessions are passed on to a senior member of staff before the Advotalk worker leaves the school. The student is informed.

Advotalk workers have experience in either schools, children’s residential and secure homes or social care settings (safeguarding) and have full enhanced DBS certificates, professional and public liability insurance.
